Length of time

An olive tree with a clear origin: Leccino – one of the classic Italian varieties, prized for its oil (and, depending on ripeness, also as a dark table olive). Leccino is considered adaptable and relatively tolerant of cooler, harsher conditions.

At the same time, this is n't a standard orchard project for us, but deliberately also an experiment : Olives are sensitive to extreme weather, and depending on the winter/spring , flowering, fruit set, or harvest may fail to occur. Your sponsorship therefore supports not only a tree, but also our attempt to find out what really works here in the long term.

We work in harmony with nature : living soil, diversity around the tree, lots of manual labor – without synthetic pesticides .

Two options for your sponsorship

Option 1: Classic sponsorship (based on duration)
1 year · 3 years · 5 years (discount for longer terms)

Option 2: Replanting (sponsorship for the first 5 harvests)
We're planting a new Leccino olive tree – your sponsorship will then cover the first five harvests from this tree. (When the first harvest starts depends on the weather and the tree's development – and in extreme cases, it may not happen at all.)

Included in your sponsorship:

  • Personalized sponsorship certificate (digital)

  • Season updates with photo & short note

  • Contribution to care (pruning, soil, protection)

  • Optional: Tree sign with name / dedication

Pollination (briefly & importantly): Leccino is generally self-sterile – for good fruit set, suitable pollinators need to be nearby. We ensure this in the orchard.

Flowering and harvest can vary depending on the weather – nature remains nature.
And when June brings rain, it often coincides perfectly with the period from flowering to fruit set at Leccino: good water supply during this phase supports the development of the young olives – and thus later the pulp and oil potential.
